Terms & Conditions

These terms govern deliveries carried out by American Prime Transit LLC. Booking a delivery means you accept them. Business accounts may be subject to a separate signed agreement, which takes precedence where the two differ.

Quotations and pricing

Prices are calculated from vehicle type, distance, urgency and any special handling selected at booking. A quotation is valid for 30 minutes and assumes the details supplied are accurate. Where actual weight, dimensions, access or waiting time differ materially from what was booked, the price may be adjusted and you will be told before the work proceeds where practicable.

Payment

Deliveries are settled in cash with the driver at collection, or invoiced to an approved business account on Net-30 terms. We do not accept card payment through this website. Invoices unpaid after their due date may be subject to a late fee and suspension of the account.

Cancellation

Bookings may be cancelled without charge before a driver is dispatched. Once a driver is en route to collection, a cancellation fee equal to the base vehicle rate may apply. If a driver arrives and the shipment is not ready, waiting time may be charged.

Items we will not carry

We do not transport:

• Cash, bullion, negotiable instruments or securities.
• Firearms, ammunition, explosives or fireworks.
• Illegal substances, or controlled substances without proper authorisation and documentation.
• Live animals.
• Hazardous materials requiring placarding, unless agreed in writing in advance.

You are responsible for ensuring shipments are properly packaged for transport and correctly described at booking.

Delivery times

Collection and delivery windows are estimates given in good faith. We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, access restrictions at either end, incorrect addresses, or anyone unavailable to release or receive the shipment.

Liability

Our liability for loss of or damage to a shipment is limited to the lesser of its declared value or $100 per shipment, unless additional cover has been arranged and paid for in advance. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, production or business opportunity, arising from a delayed or failed delivery.

Claims

Claims for loss or damage must be notified in writing within 7 days of the delivery date, with supporting evidence. Proof of delivery — photograph, signature and timestamp — is recorded for every completed job and forms part of the record used to assess a claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Orange County, Florida.
